Vishnu Smriti 84

One shall not perform a śrāddha (श्राद्ध) in a mlecchadeśa (म्लेच्छदेश) (land of barbarians). // Vi_84.1 //

One shall not go to a mlecchadeśa (म्लेच्छदेश). // Vi_84.2 //

By drinking water from the cisterns of others, one attains their state. // Vi_84.3 //

The country where the system of the four varṇas is not established, / That is to be known as a mlecchadeśa (म्लेच्छदेश); Āryāvarta (आर्यावर्त) is beyond that. || Vi_84.4 ||
