Duties of Husband and Wife

A wife who is not separated from her husband, being disciplined, should serve the sacred fire, desiring good fortune, the state of non-widowhood, and being devoted to her husband. // K_835 //

By her intelligence and service alone, a woman attains all her desires. Having returned here from heaven, she becomes a treasure of happiness. // K_836 //

The virtuous woman who, after her husband's death, remains established in celibacy, she, with conduct like Arundhatī's, is glorified in the world of Brahmā. // K_837 //
