    Having been thus addressed, Vasumatī (the Earth) made a salutation with her knees and head and said: // Vi_98.1 // "O blessed one, near you the four elements have always made their abode: ether in the form of a conch, wind in the form of a discus, fire in the form of a mace, and water in the form of a lotus.
