Having been thus addressed, Vasumatī (the Earth) made a salutation with her knees and head and said: // Vi_98.1 // "O blessed one, near you the four elements have always made their abode: ether in the form of a conch, wind in the form of a discus, fire in the form of a mace, and water in the form of a lotus. Having thus praised with a pleased mind, the Earth, / Vasuṃdharā, having obtained her desire, spoke to the goddess who was facing her. || Vi_98.102 ||
