The Qualities of a King
A king should be disciplined, well-versed in the sacred texts, possessed of a full treasury and valor, devoted to Brahmins, charitable, and dedicated to truth and Dharma (sacred law, righteousness, and duty). // K_001 //
He should be free from arrogance, cruelty, slander, fickleness, and anger; eloquent, humble yet dignified, pleasant in speech, and pleasing to behold. // K_002 //
Fortune greatly favors a king who has control over his senses, is self-mastered, wields punishment against wrongdoers, acts only after due examination, and is resolute. // K_003 //
